We Need Improvements that result in added traffic capacity and safer roads. Bond and 305, and the
Navy yard traffic (Hwy 3 to Hwy 16) intersection has been bad
for 20 years.
Hood Canal Bridge traffic blockage and the Kingston Ferry holding lot has been delayed for 25 years.

Our 2013 Sherriff report shows our state has the lowest Police Officer ratio to population in the USA. Our County ranks in the bottom 10 counties in the State of Washington. We need more deputies! We Need to Feel Safe and Be Safe!

FERRY SYSTEM
Our Governor Inslee has stopped Ferries in the pipeline from being built, leaving a situation where any ferry maintenance or breakdown has a cascade effect across the system. Governor Inslee also fired experienced employees because they would not take his required medical treatment.
Although ferries are State Funded, the County Commissioner has a voice to impact these decisions.

There is no question that we have too many homeless people in our community.
There are no easy, quick fixes here.
Drug and alcohol abuse, mental instability, housing costs, personal mistakes...these are all a factor.
What principals should we apply to this issues? I feel there are several...
- Our kids must be protected.

- Our kids must be protected.
- Programs are vital for substance abuse and mental health.
- It is wrong to continue to support those unwilling to work with working class people's tax dollars.
- Everyone who is capable has an obligation to support themselves.

We cannot expect affordability in housing when, at every turn, we add restrictions, codes and costs. Growth management has made a severe shortage of single family lots. We cannot expect affordability in housing when, at every turn, we add restrictions, codes and costs. Growth management has made a severe shortage of single family lots. Apartment living and multifamily units are fine if you choose that. Sadly, for some, there is no other option. We are becoming a county of have's and have nots. We are forcing the lower and middle income families out of home ownership. When I first purchased a home at the age of 20, the average home could be bought with 3 years wages. Now an average home is costing 7-10 years wages.

The Governor stopped ferry production, fired senior workers and held 450 days of emergency power which is inexcusable.

I played on the same fields 50 years ago that my kids played on 20 years ago and throughout the last 50 years very little has been done in
North Kitsap for added or upgraded fields. In my past campaigns I have made it an important issue and will again work to increase our play fields for our future generations of Adults and Children.

Aside from Radient getting a rezone, what other facts have really been shared? Radient is "selling" this for their benefit of the rezone but how much will this ultimately effect us, the tax payers? And how long will this take to implement? These facts have conveniently been withheld from shared information.
